Remove from item Container

Removes an hsbcad element from an item container.

Item Container Renumber

Adds enumeration based on position to each Item Container.
The Item Container name is set after user imput and analysis of the selected container(s) solid(s).
Each Item Container name can be displayed in the 3D model view by selecting display label on the family type properties.

Insert

Tools

Drill

Creates a circular shaped opening on a single structural member.
You can select any point on a face to place the drill.

Insert

Select the Drill command.
Select a point on a face, the Drill tool is placed on a host element or a working plane.
Select the tool to parameterize its properties or create customized types.

Behaviour

The placement of the tool will be the selected point.
You can change the position on the selected face, the tool will be applied to the new position. (it’s movable)
To change the face of the drill is, you can pick a new host for the tool family.

Instance Parameters

Dimensions:
R= Radius

Model Line Drill

Creates a circular shaped opening on an individual or multiple structural member(s) following a drawn path.

Insert

The Drill in Space tool is placed on a working plane.
It cuts through intervening walls, floors, roofs, structural members and columns.

Beam Cut

Create notches or trims on the structural element(s) using the boundary profile from a selected structural element.

Insert

First, select the structural member(s) to be used as a boundary.
Second, select the structural member(s) to be trimmed or notched.
Press the Enter Key to finish, otherwise, repeat the selection process.
Multiple elements can be trimmed or notched to the same boundary, by selecting multiple male structural members.
Select the magenta coloured handler to edit the gap dimension properties.

Behaviour

The placement of the tool will be on the center of the female beam
You can change the position of the Male Structural Member, and the tool will be replaced, you can’t change the position of the Female Structural Member or the Family tool.
You see that the cut has not been made, this is because the Male Structural Member is not been connected with the Female Structural Member.
To still keep the Beam Cut, the Male Structural Member must be in contact with the Female Structural Member.

Instance Parameters

Dimensions:
A= hsbcad Gap Width.

Box Cut

Creates a rectangular shaped opening, cutting through intervening walls, floors, roofs, structural members and columns.
