Nail-App and Nail-SheetOnBeam Nail-SheetOnSheet

This document will explain how the Nail-App, Nail-SheetOnBeam and Nail-SheetOnSheet tsl's work.
With the tsl's Nail-SheetOnBeam and Nail-SheetOnSheet, nail lines on elements can be determined by a user based painter definitions.

BLOCK_CHECK_START

These tsl's can be found in C:\Program Files\hsbcad\hsbDesign...\Content\General\ TSL

The Nail App tsl creates nail lines based on the configurations made with the Nail-SheetOnBeam and Nail-SheetOnSheet tsl's.
The tsl automatically creates the painter definitions required for the function.
Thus, a user can define settings that can then be easily used by several users.

How does the Nail-SheetOnBeam tsl work

The Nail-SheetOnBeam tsl creates nail lines based on the painter definitions to nail sheeting to beams.

BLOCK_CHECK_START

The painter definitions must be created under the Nailing collection so that they can be selected in the dialog box.

Tooling - Strategy

The strategy defines at which plate-rod contact surfaces nail lines are generated.

Default

Strategy: default
The entire area is connected with nail lines

Combine vertical nail lines

Strategy: Combine vertical nail lines
Nail lines only on vertical beams, continuous nail lines for beams standing on top of each other

Sheet perimeter

Strategy: Sheet perimeter
Only the outline of the sheets is connected to the contact surfaces of the beams with nail lines.

X-Halfgrid

Strategy: C X-Halfgrid
Only nail lines are created on the contact surface of the vertical beams that are as close as possible to the center of the sheet.

Sheet - Offset Edge

The edge spacing defines the distance from which a nail line is created tp the edge of the plate. 0 = the nail line is created in the center of the beam.

Sheet - Offset Bottom and Top

The distance at the bottom and the paragraph at the top define the offset from the lower and upper edges of a wall/element from which the nail lines may begin.

How does the Nail-SheetOnSheet tsl work

The Nail-SheetOnSheet tsl creates nail lines based on the painter definitions to nail sheeting to beams. beam.

BLOCK_CHECK_START

The painter definitions must be created under the Nailing collection so that they can be selected in the dialog box.

Tooling - Strategy

The strategy, defines how contact surfaces of a sheet is connected to each other with nail lines.

Grid

The contact surface of the sheets is connected in a grid with a negative line.
The grid orientation can be horizontal or vertical.

Perimeter

Only the Sheet outlines of the Top sheet are connected with nail lines if there is a contact surface with the lower Sheet.

Perimeter +Grid

Combines the strategies perimeter and grid with each other.

How does the Nail App tsl work

When all nail lines have been defined, they can be saved in rules and configurations can be added.
For example, different configurations can be used for different wall styles.

Create configurations and save rules

To create a new configuration you can select any Nail-SheetOnBeam or Nail-SheetOnSheet tool and right-click.
Under the item Custom you can Add a new configuration or remove existing ones.

Now you can save the defined nail line tools as a rule and add them to a configuration. Any number of rules can be stored in a configuration.
To do this, select any Nail-SheetOnBeam or Nail-SheetOnSheet tool and right-click.
The Save as Rule command can be used to add the rule to the configuration.

Insert Nail app

To run the Nail app, call the Nail app, select the desired configuration in the dialog box.
Confirm with OK and select the elements or walls to which the rules should be applied.

Edit in Place process

The created nail lines can be adapted to the current conditions using the Edit in Place command.

Location of the configurations and rules

The defined configurations and rules are stored in a *.xml file.
These can be found in the hsbCompany\ TSL\ Settings folder.
The Nail Configuration.xml can be copied and moved to other Company directories.

BLOCK_INFO_START

If you don't have the Nail Configuration.xml in your hsbCompany\ TSL\ Settings folder see How to Export*.xml setting

BLOCK__END

How to Export *.xml setting

Select the hsbTslSettingsI0 tsl and export the Nail-Configuration.

BLOCK_INFO_START

The hsbTslSettingsI0 tsl can be found in C:\Program Files\hsbcad\hsbDesign...\ Content\ General\ TSL

BLOCK__END

The Nail-Configuration.xml file will be created in the hsbCompany\ TSL\ settings folder.
