Starting in 2026, major releases of hsbDesign for Revit®, hsbDesign for AutoCAD®, and hsbMake are released once per year in mid-September.
The latest version and the two preceding versions of hsbDesign for Revit®, hsbDesign for AutoCAD®, and hsbMake continue to be supported. Older versions are not.
When using the IFC Import Manager in either hsbDesign for Revit or hsbDesign for AutoCAD, it is important to understand that import results can vary depending on the quality and structure of the IFC file.
We cannot guarantee that every IFC file will import perfectly or exactly as expected. The outcome is fully dependent on how the IFC has been generated, including modelling standards, level of detail, and how the data is structured in the source file.
Both hsbDesign for Revit and hsbDesign for AutoCAD rely on the information contained in the IFC file to reconstruct the model. If the IFC is incomplete, inconsistently structured, or created with different export settings, this may affect geometry, data mapping, or element recognition during import.
For this reason, some imported models may require validation or adjustments after import to ensure they meet the expected design and production standards.

If you hover over items in your Revit® model and you are not able to select (some) of your items this can be due to design options created by the designer. Design options can be viewed in the ”Manage” tab in the “Design Options” area.
In the video below this is explained in more detail.
If you open or create a view in Revit®, it will have view settings. These settings are easily accesable with the press of “vv”, in the ribbon “View” under “Visibility/Graphics”, or in the properties of the view. In the view settings, you can enable or disable categories. Next to that, it is possible to override graphical details in this window.
In the video below this is explained in more detail.
