hsbCLT | Export grain direction to IFC (Video)

Once you have added the Grain Direction to the CLT panel (this will include a default 3D Block of the grain direction arrow)

In the default settings, the grain direction is represented as a 2D block.
If you want to export the grain direction to the IFC model, you may opt to use the default 3D grain direction block or customize your own 3D block, which you must do in advance of the next steps.

if custom blocks 'hsbGrainDirectionWall' and/or 'hsbGrainDirectionFloor' are found in the dwg and depending on the association setting of either wall or roof/floor, the default 3D block for grain direction will be replaced by these custom blocks

  • Select the grain Direction symbol on the CLT panel \ right mouse click \ Custom \ Settings:

The hsbGrainDirection-Settings dialog box will open and the settings can be made in here.
