This article will explain how to define panel surfaces.

Assign surfaces to a panel?

You can assign surfaces to a panel through the Panel Style or through the Panel Properties.

It is important to know which side is the reference side and which side is the opposite side of the panel.

Properties

You can assign surface qualities to panels from within the Properties bar.

IQ: Industrial Quality
IVI: Industrial visual Quality (Knots)
NVI: Non Visible Quality
VI: Visual Quality (no Knots - very expensive)

Create Panel

When you select the Create Panel command, you can define the surface qualities for the panels to be created.

Define surface qualities

To define Surface Qualities select the Style Manager\hsbcad Objects\hsbcad Surface Quality Style and assign grades to surface qualities.

IQ: Industrial Quality
IVI: Industrial visual Quality (Knots)
NVI: Non Visible Quality
VI: Visual Quality (no Knots - very expensive)

You can add and name the surface qualities according to your needs.
Under the Definition tab, you can determine the value of the quality.
The higher the number stored here, the higher the quality of the surface.
