hsbUpdater issue: exit code 5

Issue:

The update failed with exit code 5

This can happen in versions of hsbdesign before V23.3.9

Cause:

An error in a particular version that looked at HSBAUTOCADLOADER instead of hsbCAD23

Solution:

BLOCK_CHECK_START

You need to download the latest version from https://myhsbcad.com/downloads. This is the latest version of hsbdesign23 where this bug has been fixed.

Your current version does not have to be uninstalled. Just run the installer (hsbsetup) again.

If you are using the service release version, it could happen that the setup which you downloaded has a slightly older version than the installed version. This will stop the setup. In this case you need to download the latest service release version from:
Service release V23
Service release V24
Service release V25
