Revit® | Center of Gravity

You can create a Center of Gravity tool for an item container or single elements.

Center of Gravity for an item container

This tool allows you to create the Center of Gravity item for an entire item container. The function will take into account all the elements attached to that item container.

Insert

You can insert the Center of Gravity by selecting the command in the ribbon.
Select the item container and your Center of Gravity will be automatically created after pressing finish.

Behaviour

The tool reacts to the weight of each element in the drawing and if a certain item is attached to or removed from the item container, the tool will react also to that change.

Instance Parameters

• hsbcad include Windows and Doors: When checked this will take into account the weight of the windows and doors if they are defined.

Center of Gravity for elements

Insert

You can insert the Center of Gravity by selecting the command in the ribbon.
Select the elements with multi-select and your center of gravity will be automatically created on each element after pressing finish.

Behaviour

The tool will place itself on the Center of Gravity for each element.
