General
- CheckConstruction: Collision Control Enhancement
- You can now perform collision checks for architectural windows and doors that include a solid body.
- CheckConstruction: Mass Elements Added
- The system now supports mass elements in the collision check feature, allowing you to detect potential conflicts with these objects during the construction validation process.
- Performance Improvements: Faster Processing of Complex Parts
- We've significantly increased the performance of the software by optimizing how solid-dependent data (such as tool analysis, bounding boxes, and real lengths) is recalculated.
- This speed boost is especially noticeable in more complex parts, such as those with many drillings, and affects several areas of the software, including exports, shop drawing generation, and tooling operations.
- New Feature: ACA Drawing ID Export
- We’ve added the variable
@(DrawingId)
to support the export of the ACA Drawing GUID. This can now be used when exporting for example to machines or IFC files, providing more flexibility and traceability in your export processes.

Extensions and Validations
- New Extension: SheetPositionInElement
- A new extension has been added that allows you to write the position number of a sheet within an element directly into one of its properties. The position is determined based on the element's coordinate system, and you can specify in the extension settings to which property this information is written.
- New Validation: OpeningSize
- We've introduced a new validation called OpeningSize. This allows you to check openings against a custom list of dimensions that you define, ensuring that all openings meet your specific size requirements.
Exporting
- New Feature: AutoCAD Multilines Export Support
- AutoCAD multilines can now be exported. In Excel, these multilines can also be accessed as individual entities, providing greater flexibility in how you manage and utilize multiline data.
- Fix: Corrected Tool Direction for Hilti HCWL Connection in BTL Export
- The tool direction for the Hilti_Verankerung (Hilti HCWL connection) has been corrected in the BTL export. This resolves the issue where the tool was previously going in the wrong direction, ensuring accurate exports to BTL format.
- New Feature: Free Profile Tool Export to BTLx
- The Free Profile tool can now be exported to the BTLx format.
- New Feature: SPLICE Instruction for Top and Bottom Plates in CDT Export
- The SPLICE instruction has been added to the Randek CDT export, allowing for the joining of multiple top and bottom plates into a single plate made from smaller timber pieces.
- Update: Separate Element Types for StickFrame and SIP Walls in Painter Filter Definitions
- ElementWallStickFrame and ElementWallSIP are now treated as distinct element types within Painter filter definitions. This allows for greater precision when creating painter definitions
- New Feature: Export Freeprofile in Excel
- For example the Freeprofile Length format

- Properties for CollectionEntity, including Definition, Length, Width, and Height, have been added to the Excel Report Designer. This ensures that CollectionEntity now provides similar property outputs as MetalPartCollectionEntity, enhancing the detail and accuracy of your reports.
IFC Import
- New Feature: AI Tool Detection in IFC Import Manager
- An experimental AI feature has been added to the IFC Import Manager, enabling tool detection that was previously not possible. It currently supports a limited toolset, including Dove (male/female), Tenon (male/female), Drill, Cone, and X-Fix.For more information see the following article: AI-Enhanced Tool Detection
- New Feature: Support for Extrusion Profiled Beams in IFC Import
- In the IFC import process, beams are now recognized as extrusions if they are defined as IfcExtrudedAreaSolid. These beams are translated into extrusion-profiled beams, improving the accuracy and representation of imported beam shapes.
- New Feature: IFC Space Import
- The IFC Import Manager now supports the import of IfcSpaces, allowing for better integration and linking with for example the hsbRaum tool.
- Improvement: Enhanced hsb_HangerDisplay for JJS Floor Truss Imports
- The hsb_HangerDisplay has been improved for JJS floor truss imports, providing better support for body descriptions from IFC files. This enhancement ensures more accurate and detailed representation of metal parts in the import process.
Shopdrawings
- Improvement: Shop Drawings Regeneration Process
- Shop drawings will no longer be marked for regeneration ("crossed out") when single objects are modified.
- Improvement: Batch Shop Drawing Plotting and Dimline Optimization
- The BatchShopdrawing process has been enhanced with subnesting, and redundant dimension lines are now automatically purged, improving the organization and clarity of your shop drawings
- New Feature: Digital Shop Drawings Now Accessible in ACA
- Our hsbShopdrawings application is now fully integrated into the ACA environment, allowing you to quickly and easily view your shop drawings directly within hsbDesign for ACA.
- You can run the ShopDrawingsViewer by typing the following command in ACA:
HSB_SHOPDRAWINGSVIEWER
. - The application runs on a configuration file in your hsbCompany folder (\hsbCompany\ShopDrawingConfigurations) that can be customized by companies using hsbMake or hsbView, allowing for tailored settings based on specific company needs.
- This feature makes it easier to see how elements will appear in the factory when exporting to hsbMake or hsbView.
CLT Panels
- Improvement: Tool Positioning When Flipping hsbPanel Reference Side
- When flipping the reference side on an hsbPanel, the tools and their locations are now correctly maintained. This ensures that static tools remain in the correct position relative to the panel, preventing them from being flipped or misaligned during the process.
- Improvement: hsbGrainDirection Now Respects Surface Quality Styles
- The hsbGrainDirection TSL has been improved to respect different surface quality styles. When viewing the panel from the side, the TSL will now correctly display the surface quality of the side being viewed, ensuring more accurate representation in IFC exports.
- New Feature: Panel Master Panel Property Validation
- A new validation, PanelMasterPanelPropertyCheck, has been added. This feature checks the style and surface quality style of a panel against its master panel, ensuring that any changes made to the model are properly reflected and preventing potential mismatches.
Fastener Database
- A new, ready-to-use database filled with fasteners from major brands, with options to add custom fasteners as needed. For best performance, load only the fasteners you plan to use. More details are available in the full article here: Fastener-Database
Bomlink
- Improvement: Enhanced Wall Connection Detection in BomLink
- The detection of wall connections in BomLink has been improved. Overlapping wall elements are now correctly assigned the appropriate connection type, ensuring more accurate results when multiple walls are involved.
- New Feature: New Functions Added to BomLink
- The functions First, Last, and Sum have been added to BomLink, allowing for more advanced filtering and data extraction from lists.

TSL
- New TSL: hsb-CLTFastenerLine TSL for SIP/Panel Connections
- The hsb-CLTFastenerLine TSL allows you to define a fastener detail, which can include various fastener products and the rules for their placement. It is primarily designed to calculate the quantity of fasteners required for SIP/panel to SIP/panel connections.
- Please note: This TSL may not work for wall-to-roof connections, as these were not part of the original scope.
- New TSL: SimpleFastener TSL for Fastener Database Integration
- The SimpleFastener TSL is the first to work with fasteners from the Fastener Database, offering two modes: Fastener Entity (style-based graphical representation) and Hardware Component (linework visualization). Mode selection allows users to balance detail and performance as needed. Each mode requires a specific export. For more information see the following article: SimpleFastener
- Stacking TSLs for 3D Stacking in hsbDesign
- We’ve introduced three new TSLs—StackItem, StackPack, and StackEntity—to enable seamless 3D stacking in hsbDesign on ACA. These tools allow for the creation of stacking items, organized packs, and truck-loading entities, with integration into shop drawings and export options.
- Update: Schmid Schrauben Lifter Added to hsb-CLT-Lifter TSL
- The Schmid Schrauben Rapid T-Lift 12” & 16” lifters have been added to the hsb-CLT-Lifter TSL, expanding the available options for lifting solutions.
- Update: hsbViewHatching TSL Enhanced with Painter Grouping Support
- The hsbViewHatching TSL now accepts format grouping from the painter definition to specify the pattern rule, allowing for more precise and customizable hatching applications.
- Update: Circle Entity Support in DrillDistribution TSL
- The DrillDistribution TSL has been extended to support creating drills from circle entities, offering more flexibility in drill placement and design.
- Update: Interdistance Format Display in hsbCLT-Fasteners
- The Interdistance parameter can now be displayed as a format using
@(InterDistance)
for each fastener rule within a detail.

- Update: Added a Unique Number Property for StackPack TSL
- A new property, Number, has been added to the StackPack TSL. This gives you the possibility to assign a fixed, unique number for each package, which can be used for formatting and sequencing.
- New Features: Extended Support for Angular Dimensions in TSL DimAngular
- The DimAngular TSL now supports additional entity types, such as viewports, Section2D, shop drawings, and more. It also includes new features for angle detection modes, improved filtering options, and flexible dimension presentation.

- Major Update: Dimline TSL Enhancements
- The Dimline TSL has received a major update containing the following:
- Now supporting multiple block references, metalpart entities, and resolving marker lines and stereotype requests.
- Enhanced painter filtering options and improved model support for genbeams.
- New mode 'Dimension Offset' available in paperspace of hsbcad viewport.
- Supports static drills and beamcuts.
- Rabbets and Dados added as tools.
- Collection entities are supported (TrussEntity,MetalPartCollectionEntiy and CollectionEntity).
- Individual grip based dimensions of openings supported for paperspace dimensions.
- The Dimline TSL has received a major update containing the following:
- Update: Weight Property in AssemblyDefinition TSL
- The AssemblyDefinition TSL now includes a new read-only property, weight. The base point is set to the center of gravity, and the weight of child entities is written to the submapX 'COG' for export purposes.
- New TSL: hsbCLT-FreeTextMarker TSL for SIP and CLT
- The hsbCLT-FreeTextMarker TSL has been created to allow the addition of FreeText and Markerline to both SIP and CLT panels, providing enhanced flexibility for labeling and marking elements in your model.
